What is Float Therapy?

A float tank, also known as a floatation tank, a sensory deprivation tank, or an isolation tank, is a tank filled with approximately 1,000lbs of Epsom salt and water heated to the outer skin temperature.

The high salt concentration of the tank makes it easy for you to float on your back with the back of your head partially underwater. Tanks tend to be large so you can stretch fully without touching its roof, floor, or walls.

The float tank is also ideally soundproof and dark our Float tank at the Cottonwood Collective Body Lounge has the option to have color changing lights. If you choose you can stop the light on a specific color or eliminate the light all together. This gives you a sensory deprivation experience that will encourage you to go into a quiet, meditative state while floating. Our Tank also has the option to be completely silent or have a soft playing relaxing meditative music playing in the background for those that do not like the complete silence. This makes your experience at Cottonwood Collective Body Lounge completely customizable. The salts in the solution will also help you with stress relief and dull your pains and aches Our float tank sessions last about an hour although we suggest that you allow for about 90 min for your session to complete a mini shower before and after your session
